Target is looking to offer department-store cosmetics at discount-store prices.

Minneapolis-based Target announced Monday that it was adding 20 exclusive brands of scrubs, lotions and gels to its stores nationwide, to be featured in Target Bath & Body departments. The department already is up and running alongside the pharmacy at SuperTarget, 3201 Iowa in Lawrence.

The department features makeup bags, eye masks and other accessories alongside “boutique-like beauty brands,” including testers reminiscent of department store makeup counters rather than those at mass-merchandise retailers.
