Kansas University police are investigating the theft of more than $6,600 worth of athletic clothing from a storage trailer.

The clothing, including parkas, jerseys, shorts, warm-ups and T-shirts, disappeared between 3 p.m. Tuesday and 5:45 p.m. Thursday after someone cut a padlock on the trailer, which was parked in a lot west of Anschutz Sports Pavilion. The items, which police said appeared to be retail merchandise, belonged to KU Athletics. Police did not have any suspects as of Friday.
