¢ MacKenzie Flory, Baldwin, will exhibit Angus cattle April 21-22 at the 2006 Western Regional Junior Angus Show in Reno, Nev. Flory, a junior member of the American Angus Assn., is one of 81 young Angus breeders who have entered a total of 206 head to compete for championship honors. The Western Regional Junior Angus Show is sponsored by the American Angus Assn. and the Western States Angus Assn.
¢ Amanda Mayhew, Lawrence, made the dean's list at Azusa Pacific University, Azusa, Calif., for the fall 2005 semester by earning at least a 3.5 grade-point average.
¢ Jacob Esau, Lawrence, was named to the dean's list for the winter quarter at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, Terre Haute, Ind., by earning at least a 3.3 grade-point average.
¢ Andy Foerschler, a senior at Free State High School, has been selected by Bands of America to perform in a national honor ensemble, the 2006 Honor Band of America. He was chosen among hundreds of applicants from across the nation for membership in the ensemble. The band will perform today at Clowes Memorial Hall on the campus of Butler University in Indianapolis. Andy is the son of Matt and Becky Foerschler.
