Kansas University officials stressed they were trying every way possible to continue to attract and nurture exceptionally bright students, and to do everything possible to prevent such people from “getting lost in the shuffle” as enrollments grew and administrative complications compounded. Some complaints from students centered around the fact “KU is getting so big and impersonal.”
