FAYETTEVILLE, ARK. — Kansas University track and field seniors Sheldon Battle and Charisse Bacchus each earned All-American status Friday during the first day of the NCAA Indoor Championships.
Battle placed fourth in the shotput at 63 feet, 4 inches. Battle will compete today in the weight throw alongside sophomore Egor Agafonov.
Bacchus leapt 20-113â4 in the long jump, placing fifth.
Senior Aaron Thompson competed in the 60-meter hurdles but did not place.
KU's men's distance medley relay squad of Joshy Madathil, Matt Baysinger, Brandon Hodges and Benson Chesang placed 10th.
