Baldwin girls roll, Eudora girls tumble

? Kelsey Verhaeghe erupted for 23 points, powering Baldwin to a 57-46 girls basketball victory Thursday at the Baldwin sub-state.

Amy Craig scored eight, and Denise Orloff added seven for the Bulldogs (17-5), who will play Iola (20-1) for the sub-state title at 6 p.m. Saturday.

With the score knotted at 38, the third-seeded Eagles (14-8) used a 19-6 advantage in the final frame to advance to Saturday’s final against top-seeded Atchison Maur Hill Prep. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
