Woman accused of helping escapee returned to Kansas

March 2, 2006

Toby Young, the woman accused of aiding the escape of a convicted murderer from Lansing prison, has been returned to Kansas and made an appearance in Leavenworth County District Court this morning.

Young, 48, who was captured in Tennessee with escaped killer John Manard, 27, after two weeks on the run, is scheduled to return to court tomorrow for a bond hearing. Meanwhile, she is being held at the Leavenworth County jail, officials said.

Manard also is being transported back to the Lansing Correctional Facility, said Bill Miskell, spokesman for the Kansas Department of Corrections. Miskell said he would have more information to release this afternoon.

Young ran a dog rehabilitation program at the prison and is accused of smuggling Manard out of prison in a dog crate in the back of a van.

Perhaps we should start working trades with Mexico. We'll take their hard working folks that want to get ahead in exchange for our worthless criminals. Think about how much we'd save not having to pay for room and board, not to mention the tax revenue brought in by "legal" mexican workers.
Now, theres a way to fund all those projects people on these boards have their panties in a twist about.

Nope, it won't work. Soon Mexico would be full of criminals who now have better jobs because the U.S. factories keep shiipping jobs there. Then the illegals that are here would want to go back to Mexico because they want better jobs which they now have the education to be qualified for.

Somewhere along the line we all end up screwed over.
