Mill Valley turns back Heights

Shawnee ? Mill Valley’s balanced scoring overwhelmed Shawnee Heights on Wednesday night. With four scorers topping nine points, Mill Valley won, 58-40, in a high school boys basketball sub-state.
Jack Johnson and Ryan Gracy led the way with 13 points apiece. Michael Mahan added 12 points, and Kyle DeBerg scored nine.
Mill Valley held a 19-15 lead at halftime, then exploded for 21 points in the third quarter to put the game out of reach.
Mill Valley (20-1) will face Gardner-Edgerton on Friday in the Highland Park sub-state.
Ottawa 66, Arkansas City 63
Ottawa – Addison Miller scored 23 points, and Victor Ojeleye added 19.
Ottawa (18-3) recovered from a one-point halftime deficit, 28-27, and advanced to face Emporia in a sub-state final on Friday.
