Correction
The appointment of Judy Billings to the Kansas Humanities Council was mischaracterized on the Business page Tuesday. Billings, elected to the council in 2000, was elected by fellow board members to be immediate past chairwoman. The council has been actively promoting the understanding of history, literature and cultural resources since 1972.
