The “Boy Scout Lake” just west of Lawrence was declared off limits to older people who had been seen swimming and sunning in the nude and drinking alcohol. In one crackdown, officers issued 18 tickets to trespassers, some of whom were charged with destruction of property as well as with other improprieties.
