Steve and Laura Hibberts, Baldwin, announce the birth of their son, Olsen Lee Hibberts, born May 20, 2006, at the Birth and Women’s Center in Topeka. He joins a brother, Ornsen Luther. Grandparents are Ann and Larry Miles and Linda Hibberts, all of Meriden. Great-grandmother is Mildred Jones, Frankfort.

Regan and Joshua Mitchell, Lawrence, announce the birth of their son, Caleb Lawrence Mitchell, born April 27, 2006, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Maternal grandparents are Dave Stwalley and Mike and Judy Goodwin. Paternal grandparents are Mark and Kay Mitchell. Great-grandparents are Bob and Martha Stwalley, Tom and Betty Brazell and Genevieve Williams.

Jennifer and Ken Jones, Kansas City, Mo.,

announce the birth of their twin daughters, Mackenna Lucile and Maren McCormick, born May 25, 2006, in Overland Park Regional Medical Center. Maternal grandparents are Wayne and Sharon Rogers, Lawrence. Paternal grandmother is Georganne Brown, Leawood. Great-grandparents are Alice DeWeese, Lawrence, and Worthy and Ina Rogers, Lawrence.

Martha Boatright, Lawrence, was named to the dean’s list at Wittenberg University, Springfield, Ohio, for the spring 2006 semester by earning at least a 3.5 grade-point average. She is the daughter of Kevin and Deborah Boatright.

Catherine Kelly graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Washington University in St. Louis on May 19, with a major in political science and minors in economics and French. She was an academic marshal in the commencement ceremonies. Her honors included the Friedman Prize for Outstanding Undergraduate in Comparative Politics and the Honors Fellows Research Prize for Best Paper.

Starting in September, she will be a Fulbright Scholar in Brussels, Belgium, where she will research post-colonial relations between Belgium and Congo. Kelly, a 2002 graduate of Free State High School, is the daughter of Van and Mary Kelly.

Lawrence resident Marcus McFaul has received the degree of Doctor of Ministry in practical theology by Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis. The degree was conferred on him by the seminary on May 13. McFaul was ordained on June 25, 1987, and serves as the senior pastor for the First Baptist Church in Lawrence.

Jessica Foulke, Lawrence, made the honor roll at McPherson College by earning at least a 3.55 grade-point average during the spring 2006 semester.
