Detective to discuss counterfeiting, fraud
Greg Pruitt, a detective with the Lawrence Police Department, will present a Counterfeiting and Fraud Seminar at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce, 734 Vt.
Pruitt will discuss a number of crime problems present in today’s business world, including identity theft, check fraud and counterfeiting. Mike Mielke, a vice president at US Bank, also will address check fraud and counterfeiting issues.
The seminar is free and open to the public,. Rolls and coffee will be provided.
