From the Lawrence Daily World for June 18, 1906: “The Missouri Supreme Court has ‘bunched’ three executions to be carried out June 29. Appeals are being sought but currently it appears the executions will take place. : A suitable site is being sought for a summer YMCA camp to provide a refreshing outing for local boys. Evidence is it will be held at the Sparr farm. The grounds are cool and shady and there is a swimming pool accessible. : Evidence is that the Lawrence Business College is having a record summer and plans on a fall term just as busy. Prof. Quakenbush is in charge.”
