Hunting course for women slated
A hunter-education course for women only is scheduled June 24 in Pratt.
Enrollment is limited to women wanting to obtain hunter education certification from Wildlife and Parks. The course will use an internet-supported alternative format that involves just one day of class work and less than two hours in the classroom.
The course includes an online test prior to the class; a quiz; and rotation though several hands-on stations such as safe gun handling, trail walk and live shotgun fire on the range.
Each student will receive basic wingshooting instruction.
After the stations have been completed, students will take the same final exam all hunter education students take.
To register, call Stacy Hageman at (620) 672-5911.
