Raiders win first pair
Omaha, Neb. ? The Lawrence Raiders opened their season with two victories Saturday, knocking off Omaha Burke, 8-3, and Omaha Creighton Prep, 10-5.
“I’m very pleased with the way we peformed,” coach Troy Wingert said, “being as this was the first time they played together.”
Free State’s Travis Blankenship and Kansas University’s Max Ellenbecker earned wins, and Lawrence High’s Daren Parker picked up a save in the second game.
