Haskell Indian Junior College might be “caught up in a sweep of 1981 budget cuts affecting federally supported Indian institutions, said Gerald Gipp, Haskell’s new president. “We increasingly are seeing new threats that could harm us greatly,” Gipp told Lawrence Rotarians. He called for efforts both local and federal to improve funding for the Lawrence institution.
