Atlanta ? Mets center fielder Carlos Beltran tied a major-league record Sunday with his third grand slam this month.

Beltran’s second-inning slam was his 31st homer and New York’s record-tying sixth slam this month. The drive gave the Mets a 7-0 lead and broke the club record for most homers by a center fielder in a season.
