University Bridge Club announces the winners of its June 22 game. Hosts were Cathy and Tom Waller and Leo Langlois. Blue winners were: Dave Gaumer, first; Al Smith, second; Ray Ikenberry, third; John Golden, fourth; and Ruth Harwood, fifth. Pink winners were: Carol Smith, first; Jean Etherton, second; Mary Gaumer, third; Myrna Ikenberry, fourth; and Wanda Kring, fifth.

The Wednesday Afternoon Bridge Club on July 12 played a stratified Mitchell movement at eight tables directed by Virginia Seaver. Playing North-South, Mona Bell and Carol Ball won first in A, B, and C. Frances Vogel and Julia Brooks won second in A and Wanda Durbin and Suzanne Wassmer won third. Yvonne Hedges and Sally Taylor won second in B.

At East-West, Lois Clark and Cathy Blumenfeld won first in A, B and C, followed by Bebe Huxtable and Clarice Broz who won second in all three strata. Paul Heitzman and Dave Piro won third in A. Shirley Reese and Shirlie Vaughn won second in B and Florine Creek and Nita Scales won second in C.

On July 19, the club played a stratified Mitchell movement at seven tables directed by Virginia Seaver. Sally Taylor and Charles Hedges won first in A and B at North-South. Wanda Durbin and Julia Brooks won second in A, and Charlie Vaughn and Shari Krentzel won third in A and second in B. Martie Hartman and Betty Spalsbury won first in C.

Paul Heitzman and Dave Piro led the East-West players by winning first in A. Carol Ball and Nita Scales won first in B and C and second in A. Bebe Huxtable and Wanna Roszel won third in A and second in B and C.

The Wednesday Evening Bridge Club’s July 12 game was directed by Don Brennaman. Four tables played a Howell movement. Virginia Seaver and Harriett Olson won first in A. Bobby and Elle Patton won second in A and first in B. Shari Krentzel and Judy Bevan won third in A and second in B.

On July 19, the club’s game was directed by Don Brennaman. Four tables played a Howell movement. Shirley and John Reese won first in A and B, followed by Jolene Andersen and Jeanne Landry who won second in A. Shari Krentzel and Judy Bevan won third in A and second in B.

The Friday Afternoon Bridge Club’s July 14 game was a stratified Mitchell movement. Don Brennaman directed nine and a half tables of players. Lois Clark and Harry Shaffer led the North-South players, winning first in A and B. Lester Dalton and Mary Fenlon won second in A and B, and Betty Collier and Patt Radford were third in A and B. Fiona Rochell and Gladys Rivard won first in C.

Paul Heitzman and Dave Piro won first in A and B playing East-West, and Shirlie Vaughn and Julia Brooks won second in A and B. Linda Swain and Linda Randall won third in A and B and first in C. Shari Krentzel and Judy Bevan won second in C.

On July 21, the club played a stratified Mitchell movement at six and half tables. It was directed by Don Brennaman. Playing North-South, Mary White and Mary Fenlon won first in A and B, followed by Chris Lane and Shirley Reese who won second in A and B. Virginia Seaver and Klee Zaricky won third in A. Betty Spalsbury and Don Brennaman won first in C.

Betty Collier and Carol Ball won in East-West by placing first in A, B and C. Vernon Gregg and Virginia Hamilton won second in A, B and C, and Madelyn Jenks and Mona Bell won third in all three strata.

The Monday Evening Bridge Club’s July 17 game was a stratified Mitchell movement. Virginia Seaver directed nine tables. Shari Krentzel and Clyde Romer won first in A and B at North-South. Lois Jones and Jeff Nash won second in A, and Pete Petillo and Dave Piro won third. Bobbie McCorkle and Fran Vogel won second in B and first in C, and Earle Core and Mike Lee won second in C.

Ruth Amsbaugh and Judy Hildreth led the East-West pairs, winning first in A and B. Ed Howard and James Masilamani won second in A and Dorothy Netson and Barbara Merriam won third in A, second in B and first in C.

The club’s July 24 game was a stratified Mitchell movement. Chris Lane directed 11 tables of players. At North-South, Clyde Romer and Jeanne Landry won first in A. Shirley Reese and Chris Lane won second in A and Harriett Olson and Jerry Sloan won third. Phyllis Brownlee and Madelyn Jenks won first in B and Earle Core and Mike Lee won first in C and second in B.

Pete Petillo and Dave Piro won first in A playing East-West. Lois Clark and Eldon Herd won second in A and Yvonne and Chuck Hedges won third. Judy Bevan and Emily Foster won first in B and C. Terry Tolar and Lynn Hui won second in B.
