Darrin and Kirsten Mock, Eudora, announce the birth of their son, Hayden Graham Mock, born July 1, 2006, at Olathe Medical Center. Maternal grandparents are Lynn and Karen Olson, Lawrence. Paternal grandparents are Fern Baker, Lawrence, and Gary Mock, El Paso, Texas. Great-grandparents are Eva Christmas, Chanute; Adolph and Dixie Olson, Lawrence; Don and Betty Barron, Shawnee; and Rex and Jackie Craig, Burnet, Texas.

Catherine Kelly, a 2002 graduate of Free State High School, has earned a Fulbright grant to research postcolonial relations between Belgium and Congo.

In conjunction with her research, she will study international relations at the Universite Libre de Bruxelles. Kelly graduated in May from Washington University in St. Louis.

She is the daughter of Van and Mary Kelly.
