4-H news

The Douglas County 4-H Council and Douglas County 4-H Foundation invite former 4-H’ers to join in celebrating 100 years of Kansas 4-H during the Douglas County Fair.

The celebration will begin at 3 p.m. Aug. 5 at the picnic shelters. Alumni will be able to write favorite 4-H memories on a timeline while enjoying cake and ice cream with friends. There also will be former 4-H’ers recounting special memories from past decades.

The foundation encourages alumni to send current addresses to the Douglas County Extension Office, 2110 Harper St., Lawrence 66046 or complete the information card at the fair so the alumni database can be updated.
