Kansas City, Mo. ? The Kansas City Chiefs agreed to terms Thursday with first-round draft pick Tamba Hali and third-round selection Brodie Croyle, bringing all their draft picks under contract a day before camp starts.

Hali, a defensive end from Penn State and the 20th overall pick, received a five-year contract, the team said. Croyle, who started all 12 games at quarterback for Alabama in 2005, got a four-year deal. Terms were not released.

The Chiefs hold their first practice Friday in River Falls, Wis., under new coach Herman Edwards, who replaces the retired Dick Vermeil.

The 6-foot-3, 275-pound Hali had 11 sacks during his senior season, including four against Wisconsin, tying a Nittany Lions single-game record.

Hali came to the United States from Liberia at the age of 10 with his father, a chemistry and physics teacher. After being drafted by Kansas City in April, Hali said he hoped his bonus money would help bring his mother and sister out of what he called the danger of life in the African nation.

Croyle completed 183 of 308 passes for 2,224 yards and 13 touchdowns his senior season at Alabama. He will start off behind Damon Huard, the No. 2 quarterback behind Trent Green.
