Grain futures increased Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade, while soybean futures retreated. Wheat for September delivery rose 5 3/4 cents to $3.87 3/4 a bushel; September corn rose 1 3/4 cent to $2.37 3/4 a bushel; September oats rose 2 1/4 cents to $1.97 3/4 a bushel; August soybeans fell 7 3/4 cents to $5.74 a bushel. Beef futures declined on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, while pork futures finished mixed. August live cattle fell .80 cent to 83.47 cents a pound; August feeder cattle fell .33 cent to $1.142 a pound; August lean hogs rose .67 cent to 67.77 cents a pound.
