¢ Breslauer Wins: Fran Breslauer of Lawrence won the women’s ages 65-69 division of the Cancer Action 5K Saturday in Kansas City, Kan., and her time of 27:00 was close to a state age-group record. Other age-group winners from Lawrence were Jodie Smith (20-24), Diane Waltho (50-54) and Dee Boeck (55-59). Lawrence’s Karen Hyde (45-49) and Andy Bauch (25-29) were second in their age groups.

¢ Small JGC Winner: Chris Small carded a 67 for the low score in Saturday’s Jayhawk Golf Club net tournament at Alvamar. Mike Naegele was runner-up with a 69. Van Reichert and Keith Wallace each recorded a 70 while Frank Lewis notched a 71. Tied at 73 were Ed Scholtes, Stephen Morgan, Mike Hertling and Kent Beisner. Reichert had the low gross score with an even-par 72.

¢ McGill Hole-in-One: Gene McGill used a nine-iron to ace the 153-yard No. 8 hole last Friday at Alvamar Country Club. Witnesses were Dan Grover, George Bocquin and Dick Kendrick.

¢ Roll Workout: Fred Roll Workout’s second session of classes at First Serve will run through Aug. 31. The Tuesday and Thursday beginning fitness program is geared toward eventual weight training. For information, call 331-8200 or e-mail freroll13@hotmail.com.
