The Lawrence City Band will not reschedule its final South Park gazebo performance of the season.

Last week’s concert was canceled because of the heat. Band members cited personnel problems in not rescheduling the season’s final show, which traditionally features a performance of the “1812 Overture.”

The band will next perform Sept. 17 at the gazebo in honor of the city’s birthday.
