Calling it “a nightmare for law enforcement,” Douglas County Dist. Atty. Mike Malone said his office was not actively enforcing a new state law prohibiting the sale of drug paraphernalia. Said Malone: “I think the law is poorly written, politically motivated, unenforceable and – the bottom line and most importantly – ineffective. It’s politically very popular, but practically, it’s a nightmare for law enforcement because it is too vague in its definition of drug paraphernalia.”
