Two Cub Scouts from Pack 3077, chartered to the Sunflower School PTO, attended Bear Camp on July 7-8 at the Theodore Naish Scout Reservation’s Cub World in Bonner Springs. Cubs attending were Marc Weinberg and Sam Dykes, along with their fathers Jeff Weinberg and Larry Dykes.

Venturing Crew 2052, chartered to St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church, participated in the annual Pelathe District Camporee in May. Crew members who attended were Jo Anna Male, Lissy Ridenour, Christy Howard, Michelle Thomas, Cortney Zinn, Desiree Zinn, Kathy Lewis and Nadia Scruggs. They were accompanied by adult leaders Cathy Howard, Kim Zinn, Barbara Pressgrove and Ralena McCurdy. The crew participated in skits along with various scout skills, including canoeing and Dutch-oven competitions.

The crew meets on the second and fourth Thursday of every month at 7 p.m. at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church, and it is open to women ages 13-21.
