Homeless reaction
To the editor:
Has anyone thought to ask the “homeless” people if they would be happy living at the old nursing home on 31st Street? I have asked many of them and they responded that they like being close to the downtown area and are not sure they would like living clear across town from the parks and most services currently available to them.
It seems to me there has been a rush to judgment and a knee-jerk reaction to fixing an existing problem. I feel there are other locations that would cost substantially less and be more suitable to meet their needs.
