Old Home Town

From the Lawrence Daily World for Jan. 31, 1906: “With all the paving planned for Lawrence in the coming year, automobilists will have the city at their command in any kind of weather in a relatively short time. But the greatest benefit will be to people from the country who will find it much easier to bring their goods to the city. : Three members of the university track team have been disqualified by the athletic board and declared ineligible on account of studies. : The mild weather of the past month has been the means of further endearing local people to the use of natural gas.”
