¢ Hoopsters Sixth Third: Lawrence Hoopsters sixth-grade girls placed third in the Little Apple Tournament in Manhattan. Team members are Kylee Loneker, Nicole Humphrey, Kelsey Kilburn, Chelsea Casady, Molly Morgan, Taylor McNabb, Lynn Robinson and Natelee Wilkins. Coaches are Rick McNabb and Keith Loneker.

¢ Hoopsters Fourth Champs: Lawrence Hoopsters fourth-grade boys won the Little Apple Tournament in Manhattan. Team members are Keith Loneker Jr., Cole Moreano, Joe Dineen, Saxon Mingus, Hunter Fellers, Zach McNabb, Stan Skwarlo and Bryce MontesDeOca. Coaches are Rick McNabb and Keith Loneker.

¢ Crosstown Unity Run: A meeting for anyone interested in helping organize the Crosstown Unity Run will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at Lawrence High. The Unity Run is a 10K race from Free State to Lawrence High scheduled Aug. 12. All proceeds will go to the track and cross country teams of the two high schools. ¢ Raintree Run Entries: Entries are being accepted for the Raintree Run half marathon, 5K and mile fun run April 9. Registration forms are available at local businesses and rec centers. For info, go to www.raintreerun.com.

¢ City Wrestler Second: Hunter Haralson of Lawrence finished second at 67 pounds in Division III of the Cliff Keen National wrestling tournament in Tulsa, Okla. Haralson defeated opponents from Kansas, New Jersey and California, then lost to No. 4 seed Jack Bass of Virginia, 1-0, on a penalty point. Haralson, 10, attends Prairie Park Elementary.
