FSHS product Dubois wins Wooden Cup

? Free State High product Jacke Dubois, a runner at Oklahoma University, was named the recipient of the 2006 Coach Wooden Citizen Cup on Tuesday night at East Side Country Club.

Dubois was one of more than 100 nominees for the award. She thanked her parents and OU while giving her acceptance speech.

Diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at birth and given a short life expectancy, Dubois has competed for OU in cross country and track for four years and will graduate in May with a degree in meteorology.

She became the first athlete in OU history to win all four major awards at the annual Scholar-Athlete Honors Breakfast in April – the Big 12 Conference Medal, the Athletic Director’s Leadership Award, the Athletics Council Achievement Award and the Athletics Council Service Award.
