? Three-point shooting and defense. It has been a perfect combination for No. 4 Texas in the Big 12 Conference.

Brad Buckman scored 19 points, Daniel Gibson kept up his hot shooting, and the Longhorns stayed unbeaten in the conference with an 80-46 victory over Oklahoma State on Monday night, their ninth straight victory.

Gibson scored 18 points, and LaMarcus Aldridge added 14 for Texas (17-2, 5-0) in a blowout that matched coach Eddie Sutton’s worst loss at Oklahoma State. Texas beat the Cowboys, 92-58, in 1997 in the first matchup between these schools in the Big 12.

Texas hit 12 three-pointers and held their ninth straight opponent under 40 percent shooting. The winning streak has the Longhorns sitting alone atop the Big 12. The Longhorns won their first five league games by an average of 26 points.

“We’re playing with a lot of emotion,” Gibson said. “Everybody’s feeding off each other right now. We feel like we’re rolling.”

Texas' Brad Buckman goes to the basket as teammate LaMarcus Aldridge (23) and Oklahoma State's David Monds jockey for position. The Longhorns rolled, 80-46, Monday in Austin, Texas.
