Piano concerts begin Mozart celebration

Kansas University WAM Fest, a celebration marking the 250th anniversary of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s birth, will begin with a series of piano concerts at the Hall Center for Humanities.

KU student performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 27-Jan. 29 at the center’s Conference Hall. Admission is free, but tickets must be ordered in advance by calling 864-4798.

A preview of the sonatas will air at 11:10 a.m. Wednesday on KANU 91.5 FM and at 6 p.m. Jan. 27.
