Air Force Airman Lennon Brixey has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.

During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies. Brixey is the son of Kimberly Brixey, Tonganoxie.

Army Pvt. Larry Tuthill II has graduated from the Light-wheeled Vehicle Mechanic Advanced Individual Training course at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C.

The course is designed to train soldiers to perform maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair wheeled vehicles and related mechanical components.

Tuthill is the son of Cheryl Ann Tuthill, Lawrence. He is a 2005 graduate of Lawrence High School.
