Employee theft is suspected in the disappearance of roughly $9,600 worth of liquor from the Eldridge Hotel, 701 Mass.

The liquor was discovered missing last week during a monthly inventory check, according to a police report. The report didn’t include a detailed list of what was taken, and a hotel manager did not return a phone call Monday seeking comment.

The investigation is ongoing.
