Law enforcement report

¢ Two men wearing ski masks and displaying a gun robbed the Taco John’s at 1626 W. 23rd St. about midnight Tuesday.

The men left the store headed north with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was hurt in the robbery.

Lawrence Police said they had no suspects Wednesday afternoon.

¢ A woman living in the 2400 block of Alabama Street reported that she found a man inside of her house about midnight Tuesday, police said.

The man was reported as being thin and wearing a ski mask and a blue shirt with writing on it. Police said he apparently entered through a window and was hiding in a closet when the woman arrived home.

The woman reported to police that she noticed her blinds were out of place and eventually looked in the closet. She then fled the house and called police.

Detectives were still on the scene Wednesday morning, but had no suspects.

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ A Lawrence man reported that someone stole his $1,200 mountain bike, a 21-speed model, between Dec. 28 and Friday.

¢ A white 2000 four-door Chevrolet Cavalier valued at $4,500 was removed from Lot No. 35 at Kansas University between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Dec. 14, according to a report from the KU Public Safety Office. The theft was reported on Dec. 30.
