Police seek tips in pizza robbery

Lawrence Police are investigating the armed robbery of a Domino’s pizza-delivery driver early Monday morning in northwest Lawrence.

Police were dispatched shortly before 1 a.m. to Graystone Apartments, 2500 W. Sixth St., to meet with the driver, a 20-year-old Lawrence man. He told police he was delivering three pizzas to an apartment at the complex when he was approached from behind and told to turn over his money.

The victim told police he turned around, and a man pointed a gun at his face. He gave the man about $20. The suspect fled on foot.

He described the suspect as a black male between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall, in his mid-20s, with a dark “hoodie” sweatshirt and item covering his face.
