Young entrepreneurs to visit KU campus

High schoolers looking to make their own way in the business world will convene Tuesday at Kansas University to trade stories, pick up advice and hear from a guy they’ve seen on MTV.

More than 300 members of Young Entrepreneurs of Kansas are scheduled to gather from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Kansas Union for the organization’s Dare to Dream Workshop.

The students – from Lawrence High School and others – are scheduled to simulate commodity trading and participate in discussions to analyze their entrepreneurial styles, develop listening skills and team up for design and marketing tasks.

Keynote speaker will be Jeff Yalden, who has been a life coach on MTV’s “Made,” a show that provides assistance for people looking to make their dreams come true.
