Panel to examine students’ test scores

A few Lawrence school administrators and staff members will discuss how minority students do on standardized tests at a panel on Tuesday.

The Lawrence-Douglas County NAACP will play host to the discussion that begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the school district’s administration building, 110 McDonald Drive.

The NAACP and panel participants hope the meeting encourages parents and students to attend and form a dialogue. Topics of discussion will include the recent Kansas assessment test scores and how black students and other minorities in Lawrence scored.
