Psychics join search for missing show dog

? The case of the wandering whippet has strayed into the occult. Vivi’s co-owner says 12 psychics are helping the search for the award-winning pooch.

She escaped from a travel cage at Kennedy International Airport last week. The breeder says Vivi hit speeds of 25 mph as she evaded pursuers on foot and in three cars.

A friend of the dog’s owners said the psychics say the dog is alive and “she is warm.” So the search is focusing on heated cargo buildings. The co-owner said the search Monday recovered droppings consistent with the 30-pound whippet behind a cargo building. A $5,000 reward is offered for the dog’s return.

The dog escaped as she was being shipped home after winning an award of merit at the Westminster Kennel Club show.
