The Lawrence-Douglas County planning staff was recommending strongly that planning commissioners vote against rezoning for a regional shopping mall in southwest Lawrence.

The Kansas Board of Regents was expected to approve the sale of $1 million in revenue bonds to help finance the construction of the new Kansas University Medical Center library.
