Huskies outmuscle No. 11 Mountaineers
MORGANTOWN, W.VA. ? Josh Boone scored 18, and No. 1 Connecticut dominated inside for an 81-75 victory over No. 11 West Virginia on Saturday, the Mountaineers’ third loss in four games.
Connecticut (23-2 overall, 10-2 Big East) took over sole possession of second place in the Big East from West Virginia.
The Mountaineers (18-7, 9-3), who were second in the NCAA with 10 three-pointers per game, finished 10-for-28 from beyond the arc against the Big East’s top three-point defense.
