Second-half run powers Iowa State

? Lyndsey Medders, returning from a foot injury that caused her to miss the last three games, scored 26, leading Iowa State to a 71-66 victory Saturday over Kansas State.

Brittany Wilkins added 16 points – including several key scores in the closing minutes – for the Cyclones (14-8 overall, 5-6 Big 12 Conference), who trailed 33-25 at the break but opened the second half with a 20-4 run.

Marlies Gipson and Twiggy McIntyre led Kansas State (17-6, 7-5) with 14 points each.

No. 24 Texas A&M 69, Nebraska 50

Lincoln, Neb. – Moreniko Atunrase scored 19 of her 23 points in the first half, and A&M (19-5, 8-3) cruised. Kelsey Griffin scored 20 for Nebraska (12-10, 4-7).

Texas Tech 76, Colorado 56

Lubbock, Texas – LaToya Davis scored 22 for Texas Tech (12-10, 7-4).

Jackie McFarland had 22 for Colorado (7-17, 2-10) and was the only Buffalo in double digits.
