Newly ranked A&M blows past Texas, 73-53

Morenike Atunrase scored 15 points, and No. 24 Texas A&M used a 28-0 run over 10 minutes in the first half to blow past rival Texas, 73-53, Wednesday night, snapping the Longhorns’ 31-game, Big 12 home winning streak.

A’Quonesia Franklin added 14 points for Texas A&M (18-5, 7-3), which won for just the third time in Austin in series history and the first time since 1995.

“I’m just going to have a good time,” Aggie coach Gary Blair said. “My kids played great … I’m happy for Aggies everywhere.”

No. 12 Baylor 91, Nebraska 69

Waco, Texas – Sophia Young scored 18 points to help the Bears rout the Cornhuskers.

Chameka Scott had 16 points, and Rachel Allison added a career-high 15 for Baylor (17-4, 7-3 Big 12).

Iowa State 66, Missouri 60

Ames, Iowa – Freshman Nicky Wieben scored 18 points off the bench and helped the Cyclones rally. Iowa State (13-8, 4-6) used a 28-8 run in the second half.

The comeback was sparked by Wieben and freshman guard Heather Ezell, who scored 14 points and collected 13 assists.

Texas Tech 48, Oklahoma State 35

Lubbock, Texas – LaToya Davis had 12 points and 14 rebounds as the Red Raiders handed the Cowgirls their 11th straight loss.

Kansas St. 67, Colorado 62

Boulder, Colo. – Kimberly Dietz had 12 points on four three-pointers to lead Kansas State. Marlies Gipson and JoAnn Hamlin each added 11 points for the Wildcats (17-5, 7-4 Big 12).
