Olathe ? As she’s done all year, Veritas Christian’s Adi Willems came through for the Eagles in a dramatic 46-44 girls basketball victory against Berean Christian on Tuesday night.

With three seconds left, Willems nailed a midrange jump shot to clinch the victory for Veritas. The game-winner overshadowed a monster night by teammate Kristie Tiegreen, who led Veritas with 24 points, 23 rebounds and six steals.

Veritas (9-9) will play Flint Hills Christian on Tuesday.

Veritas boys 66, Berean 56

Olathe – Veritas weathered a strong second-half run by Berean Christian to escape with a victory.

Veritas (11-7) will play host Friday to St. Mary’s.
