Tech topples UT

Texas' Aubry Cook bows her head after fouling out as her teammates comfort her. Texas lost to Texas Tech, 84-63, Wednesday night in Lubbock, Texas.

? Texas Tech coach Marsha Sharp wasn’t secretive about how she and her Raiders were going to defend Texas’ leading scorer, Tiffany Jackson.

“We sold out,” Sharp said. “We were gonna go double her. We were gonna try to make somebody else make a shot against us.”

Jackson was the lone Longhorn in double digits while every Raider starter scored in double figures in Tech’s 84-63 victory. It was only the second time this season all five starters scored in double figures for Tech.

Missouri 66, Kansas State 65

Manhattan – LaToya Bond scored a team-high 21 points, including the game-winning shot with 3.6 seconds left, as Missouri overcame a 22-point deficit.

Nebraska 54, Iowa State 42

Lincoln, Neb. – Chelsea Aubry, with 13 points, was the only Nebraska player to score in double figures, but nine of the 10 Huskers who played in the game contributed points to the victory.

ISU’s Megan Ronhovde led all scorers with 19 points.
