Insulting vote

To the editor:

To add one more stain to the laughingstock of Kansas education, Connie Morris was allowed to vote as to whether outgoing members of the Kansas State Board of Education should be allowed to take out-of-state voyages at taxpayer expense. Not only did she not abstain from this obvious conflict of interest, creating a 5-5 vote, she has the temerity to go and spend my hard-earned dollars on a junket to Washington, D.C., that will have no demonstrable positive effect on Kansas education.

That her views on education are rarefied horse puckey has been amply demonstrated by the decision of the voters. To insult our state by spending my money on her misadventures is just stupid. Who chaired that meeting? Why was she allowed to vote?
