4-H and FCE news

The Vinland Valley 4-H Club met Dec. 4 and sang carols for Vintage Park Center residents in Baldwin City.

The club then conducted a business meeting at Vinland Methodist Church. Roll call was answered by members naming their favorite hobby. Guests were Michael Moore, former member and past president of the club; Kylie Seaman; and Briana Beets.

Connor Nottingham announced that the council meeting would be Dec. 8. Junior officers were installed for the 2006-07 year. The group discussed a donation to Vinland Methodist Church, and designated the clothing buymanship group to shop for the Salvation Army’s Christmas donation.

Record book updates were given, and reports from leaders were discussed. Next month’s meeting will be at 7 p.m. Jan. 8 at Vinland Methodist Church. The program will be given on horses, beef and dairy.
