Musicians to play orchestra benefit

Beau Bledsoe rehearses Tuesday evening for the concert.

The Elaris Duo – cellist Steven Elisha and violinist Larisa Elisha – will join Kansas University oboe faculty Margaret Marco, guitarist Beau Bledsoe and harpist Tabatha Reist on Friday for the Lawrence Chamber Orchestra’s annual “‘Twas the Night” benefit concert.

The program will include Astor Piazzola’s Histoire du Tango, Zoltan Kodaly’s Duo Op. 7 for violin and cello, Gaspar Cassado’s Suite for solo cello and Johann Joachim Quantz’s Trio Sonata in C minor.

The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1245 N.H. Tickets are $13 (or 2 for $25) for adults and $8 for students. They will be available in advance at the Lawrence Arts Center, 940 N.H., 843-2787, or at the door.
