More holiday decor stolen, damaged

First, a yard display worth hundreds of dollars.

Now, Snoopy, a nutcracker and a banner for holiday nachos.

The list of Christmas decorations stolen or damaged across Lawrence in recent days keeps growing.

Two of the thefts happened in the 1300 block of Pinehurst Circle. In one, a resident reported a $90 inflatable nutcracker stolen late Wednesday or early Thursday. In the other, a resident reported a stolen Santa Claus and inflatable red-and-green gift package stolen from her yard, plus damage to an inflatable Snoopy and doghouse. Those reports were released Monday.

Also, at Taco John’s, 1626 W. 23rd St., someone stole a holiday-themed banner late Dec. 4 or early Dec. 5 advertising a special promotion for “Nachos Navidad,” manager Ben Harris said. The store is donating 25 cents of every order to the Big Brothers Big Sisters program.
