— A Wichita man called 911 to report he was the victim of an armed robbery.

The theft? A pound of marijuana worth about $1,100 he had been trying to sell at his home.

The victim told police Thursday that a buyer had pulled out a sawed-off shotgun and stolen the drugs. Police brought a drug-sniffing dog and located more marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

The victim was booked into Sedgwick County jail on several charges, including possession with the intent to sell drug.

The thief has not been found.

Ah yes, Wichita my old stomping ground. The Wichita Police once had a person call their 911 dispatcher to report that he was tripping on hallucinogenic mushrooms at a motel in the prostitution district of South Broadway. These morons never cease to amaze me! Dude

This appears to be a late breaking story about a person that wants to report a crime that includes activities that are illegal.

$1100 for an lb? Dude you're getting ripped off, first of all, and secondly, pot is still illegal, therefore any dealings anyone has with it are outside the constraints of the law. The cops aren't going to go looking for your pound of pot, you idiot. People like this give good stoners bad names.

Das, what we need is a consumer report on the quality of narcotics. Now that is an issue that would get some attention.

in 2005, the DEA seized 282,139 kgs (128, 245 lbs) of the stuff, so this is just a drop in the bucket.

"Personally, if there is one thing that annoys me, it is the sanctimonious potheads who think that their drug of choice is just so much better and healthier than anyone else's."

MMMMMM. . . fresh methane! It's all natural cuz you inhale it off of fresh cow-pies.
